OMPA Training Begins on November 6, 2026

Do you work in a medical profession and want to deepen your knowledge of ophthalmology? The Swiss Academy of Ophthalmology’s training program for Ophthalmic Medical Practice Assistants (OMPA) offers you the opportunity to further develop your professional skills in a targeted manner.
In eight months, you will gain extensive knowledge and skills for working in the day-to-day operations of an ophthalmology practice and clinic.
The Training Program at a Glance:
- Start: November 6, 2026
- Duration: 8 months, one training day per week
- Location: Oertli Ophthalmedic, Täfernstrasse 5, 5405 Dättwil
- Cost: CHF 5,500, also payable in three installments

Upon successful completion of the entire course, you will receive a certificate of proficiency from the SAoO and the Swiss Ophthalmological Society (SOG). Participation in individual modules is also possible upon request and will be documented with a course completion certificate.
