Course Description:
Preoperative biometry is the foundation of successful cataract surgery. Modern measurement techniques now enable highly precise surgical planning. Nevertheless, interpreting the measurement data, selecting the appropriate calculation formula, and choosing the optimal intraocular lens—especially in complex eyes—remain a daily clinical challenge.
The course teaches a structured and practice-oriented decision-making process—from assessing measurement quality to selecting the appropriate IOL calculation formula and choosing the optimal intraocular lens. Particular emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making based on real-world case studies, as well as on the discussion of typical sources of error and complex situations.
The course is completely independent of any specific manufacturer or product.
