SAoO – The Congress

Key points

  • The congress is primarily aimed at ophthalmologists, optometrists, young swiss ophthalmologists, medical students, opticians, orthoptists, practice assistants, anesthesiologists, surgical staff as well as professionals from related fields.
  • Clear time structure: each session lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. Keynote lectures last 30 minutes.
  • Optimal knowledge transfer through the use of a voting system, panel discussions, the opportunity to post questions and communicate directly with speakers and representatives of the industry.
  • In addition, sponsored satellite symposiums take place with interesting news from the industry.
  • All presentations will be recorded and available online for three months after the event.
  • Association members receive a 20% reduction on all fees and unlimited access to all recorded lectures of the SAoO congresses since 2021.
  • Some highly educational parallel courses have been introduced to help improve competence and the safe and effective treatment of patients.
  • The lectures will be held in German, French or English. Lectures in German will be simultaneously translated into French and vice versa. The presentation slides are all in English.

Program

An exciting and varied program has once again been put together for you for the upcoming conference. In addition, the Cataract Circle will once again be integrated into the SAoO conference and will take place on Friday, February 19, 2027, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, February 20, 2027, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
